The client longed to achieve an inviting and harmonious space for dining and socialising by blending modern elegance with cosy charm. We created this by applying a neutral colour palette to the ceiling, walls and floor, which brightens the space and makes it feel open and airy. By choosing a warm, mid-tone hardwood we grounded the space and provided comfort underfoot, and by minimising the number of seams we managed to create a more cohesive look. The lighting in the room is layered to create different moods and highlight key areas. Spotlights, a contemporary chandelier and floor lamps can flood the space in light or provide a soft, ambient glow, depending on occasion and time of day.
Overall, the refurbished space successfully combines modern aesthetics with cosy, lived-in elements, resulting in a space that is both stylish and welcoming.
